The financial capital of India, Mumbai has once again been hit by three nearly simultaneous bomb blasts. Mumbai has been hit by terror strikes several times in the recent past. A few years back, Abdul Kasab and his nine comrades seized Mumbai and killed several senior police officials and innocent people on streets, railway station and five-star hotels.
Total 170 were killed and thousands wounded in the monstrous terror strike.
Delhi has been put on high alert and the elite commando group, National Security Guard has been instructed to be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.
Police have confirmed that this is an act of terror. The latest explosions hit Mumbai around 1900 local time (1330 GMT) as workers were making their way home. Home Secretary said that two people have died while Police says eight people have died. The exact extent of casualty and deaths is not clear.
The explosion in Zaveri Bazaar, in the south of Mumbai, was reported in a jewellery shop. The third explosion hit the Opera House district, also in the city’s south, at a time when it would have been crowded with workers and commuters.
