Google’s Launchpad Accelerator Initiative for AI & ML Indian Startups

The global tech giant, Google, recently announced its new extensive mentorship program designed exclusively to offer comprehensive mentorship to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Startups. The program is called Launchpad Accelerator and Google Announced that the program is focused on mentoring startups using AI and ML to build solutions for the Indian subcontinent’s critical issues.

Google has initiated the Launchpad Accelerator with the goal of support startups to drive innovation in the Indian subcontinent.

In addition to its Solve For India program, global tech giant Google has now announced Launchpad Accelerator India, a new comprehensive mentorship program tailored exclusively for Indian startups that are using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to build solutions for the pressing problems in the country.

It is a three-month accelerator program and has been designed keeping in mind the growth mentorship needs of the Indian AI and ML ecosystem. The program will assist and guide the startups in constructing scalable solutions for pressing issues being faced by the country.

What is in it for the startups?

Once the startups are part of the accelerator, they will receive:

• Equity-free support
• Intensive Mentorship by 20+ teams
• Access to Google Engineers, Silicon Valley experts and biggest local mentors
• PR training
• International media opportunities
• 3-month partnership with Google

How to get selected for the Launchpad Accelerator India program?

Startups applying to the program should  

1. Be a tech startup
2. India based
3. Been able to raise at least seed funding
4. Are building solution/solutions to challenge critical issues of India
5. Use Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning to power the designed solution

Startups can apply until 31 July and the first class of the selected 8-10 startups will begin in September 2018.

The 10 startups selected for each class will get complete mentorship and support from the Google’s best in AI/ML, Android, Cloud, UX, Product Strategy, Web and Marketing. Google will also award the startups Google Cloud Credits from $20K- $100K to each startup.
